At its meeting of 28 February 2017, the Council of States adopted the amendments to the Tobacco Tax Act.
According to the dispatch of 17 June 2016 on the amendment of the Tobacco Tax Act (Federal Council business; 16.051), the enforcement responsibilities within the customs administration are to be adjusted and the law is to be supplemented by the term water pipe tobacco.
In its meeting of 28 February 2017, the Council of States (Second Chamber)
adopted the amendments to the Tobacco Tax Act by 41 votes (unanimity) with 0 abstentions.
