At its meeting on 11 November 2020, the Federal Council approved the compensation payments as part of a partial revision of the Ordinance on the Equalisation of Finances and Burdens (FiLaV).
In 2021, financial compensation payments will fall by 67 million to 5.2 billion Swiss francs compared with the previous year.
