At its meeting on 23 October 2019, the Federal Council adopted the dispatch on the Protocol of Amendment to the Agreement on the avoidance of double taxation in the area of taxes on income and wealth (DTA) with Iran.
According to the press release of the Federal Department of Finance (FDF) of 23 October 2019, the Protocol implements the minimum standards in matters of double taxation agreements.
The Protocol of Amendment contains an abuse clause based on the main purpose of a design or transaction and a new provision on the exchange of information upon request.
