At its meeting on 20 November 2019, the Federal Council adopted the dispatch on the amendment of the Federal Act on the International Automatic Exchange of Information in Tax Matters (AIAG).
With this proposal, the Federal Council intends to implement the recommendations of the Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes (Global Forum). Parliament is expected to deal with the bill for the first time in the spring 2020 session. Their entry into force is not expected before the beginning of 2021 at the earliest.
