The FTA informs that in the event of a telephone line overload, the e-mail channel should be used first (contact FTA), as this type of communication can be handled more quickly.
Various cantons have also automatically extended the deadline for filing the 2019 tax return for all natural persons. The Canton of Zurich has automatically extended the deadline for natural persons until 31 May 2020. In addition, companies that expect to incur losses due to the effects of the coronavirus or individuals who suffer a loss of income may request an adjustment of the provisional account for state and municipal taxes.
The tax administration of the Canton of Ticino remains closed until further notice. Here the deadline for natural persons was automatically extended until 30 June 2020 for natural persons and 30 September 2020 for legal entities.
