Lehmann's motion "Make health insurance premiums tax-deductible according to the KVG" (15.4027) was not accepted. On the other hand, the motion grin (17.3171), concerning the increase in the flat-rate deductions for direct federal tax to compensate for the explosion in health insurance premiums, was accepted by the Council of States.
According to the motion, the Federal Council is instructed to present a draft revision, the purpose of which is to compensate for the explosion in health insurance premiums by increasing the flat-rate deductions in direct federal tax.
