In its session of 7 December 2017, the National Council adopted a postulate concerning the taxation of real estate held as business assets with different ownership.
According to the postulate of the Committee for Economic Affairs and Taxation of the National Council; WAK-N (17.3359), the Federal Council should be charged with drawing up a report on the situation regarding the taxation of real estate with different ownership (natural persons / legal entities) and at the same time to indicate possible solutions to eliminate or at least reduce the existing differences.
There are considerable differences in the area of real estate gains taxation depending on whether a property is owned by natural persons or legal entities.
In its meeting of 7 December 2017, the National Council (first chamber) adopted the postulate by 96 votes to 83 with 5 abstentions.
