At its meeting on 27 February 2017, the National Council adopted a postulate on the reduction of regulatory costs by means of formal harmonisation of procedures, time limits and payment intervals in the area of corporate taxation.

According to the postulate of Thomas de Courten (15.3118), the Federal Council should be mandated to work out a harmonisation of procedures, deadlines and payment intervals for profit, real estate gains and withholding tax in cooperation with the cantons and to present any necessary adjustments at the level of laws and ordinances in a report to parliament.

The National Council (first-degree council) adopted the postulate in its session of 27 February 2017 by 133 votes to 56 with 3 abstentions.
