On December 6, 2023, the Federal Tax Administration (FTA) announced that it will now also enable the submission of correction statements and annual reconciliations via the "MWST-Abrechnung easy" application.
The FTA also pointed out that from January 1, 2024, persons liable for VAT will generally have to submit the statement or correction statement online. The FTA is granting a transitional period of one year for the changeover. From January 1, 2025, all companies must file their VAT returns online. In addition to "MWST-Abrechnung easy", the full version "MWST-Abrechnung pro" is also available for online billing as before.
