The new online tax calculator enables the calculation of (i) income and wealth tax, (ii) inheritance and gift tax and (iii) the tax burden for lump-sum benefits from pension plans for all municipalities for the years 2017 to 2019. In addition, comparative calculations can be made between municipalities and the tax consequences of impending personal changes (marriage, wage increases, etc.) can be calculated.
In the Tax Burden Statistics module, various calculation models can be generated interactively and displayed either in tabular form over several tax years or cartographically for the whole of Switzerland. The basic data module includes historical tax data (deductions, tariffs and tax rates).
In the coming months, the online tax calculator will be expanded to include the option of calculating the tax burden for legal entities.
The new offering largely covers the contents of the previous publication "Tax burden in Switzerland". Supplementary tables on tax burdens are published individually on the FTA website. The publication will therefore no longer be continued in the familiar form.
