Federal Councillor Karin Keller-Sutter and Italian Finance Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti signed a political declaration on 20 April 2023 to settle outstanding tax issues.
Accordingly, Italy removes Switzerland from the blacklist that has existed since 1999 (procedural impediment to the transfer of tax residence).
At the same time, Switzerland and Italy will adopt a temporary regulation on the taxation of working from home for cross-border commuters until June 30, 2023.
