In the presence of Federal Councillor Ueli Maurer, the Conference of Cantonal Finance Directors (FDK) and representatives of the municipal associations discussed the Federal Council's key points for the dispatch on tax proposal 17 (SV17).
According to a media release dated February 2, 2018, the FDK, together with representatives of the Association of Swiss Municipalities (SGV), the Association of Swiss Cities and Towns (SSV) and the Conference of Municipal Finance Directors (KSFD), discussed the Federal Council's key figures published on January 31, 2018, for the dispatch on SV17 at a plenary meeting (for the key figures, see our contribution dated January 31, 2018 and the corresponding Federal Council media release dated January 31, 2018).
The FDK and the representatives of the municipal associations have confirmed the importance and urgency of SV17 and therefore support rapid action by the Federal Council. They also welcome the Federal Council's decision to increase the cantonal share of direct federal tax to 21.2% and are counting on the Federal Assembly to approve the SV17 in the autumn session of 2018.
Further details can be found in the FDK press release dated February 2, 2018.
