On 17 July 2017, Switzerland and Singapore signed an agreement on the automatic exchange of information in tax matters.
In the run-up to a working meeting of the Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes (Global Forum) in Geneva, Switzerland and Singapore have signed a bilateral agreement on the automatic exchange of information (AIA) in tax matters.
Subject to approval by the Swiss Parliament, the agreement between Switzerland and Singapore will be applied provisionally from 1 January 2018 with a first data exchange in 2019. At the same time, a joint declaration on cooperation in financial services with Singapore was signed in Singapore by the Swiss ambassador.
