At its meeting on 24 August 2022, the Federal Council adopted the dispatch on the total revision of the Customs Act.
Today's Customs Act is to be reduced to a pure tax remission (new: Customs Duties Act; ZoG). In addition, there would be a new federal law on the general part of the levy and the control of the cross-border movement of goods and persons by the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (BAZG-VG).
