The Conference of Cantonal Finance Directors (FDK) supports the message on tax bill 17 (SV17).
According to a press release dated 21 March 2018, the FDK supports the dispatch on tax proposal 17 published by the Federal Council on 21 March 2018 (see our contribution of 22 March 2018). The FDK expressly welcomes the bill and notes in particular that the dispatch contains extensive information on the cantonal implementation plans: "The cantons are playing with their cards on the table.
The FDK also notes that the key points of the present dispatch were supported by the FDK as well as by representatives of the Swiss Association of Municipalities, the Swiss Association of Cities and the Conference of Municipal Finance Directors in the presence of Federal Councillor Ueli Maurer on February 2, 2018 (cf. our contribution of February 4, 2018). The tax policy details of the Dispatch would now be analysed by the FDK and any relevant proposals would be brought to the attention of parliament.
