For the first time, the Federal Tax Administration (FTA) sent country-specific reports from multinational corporations to 35 partner states as part of its Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR).

According to a press release issued by the FTA, this first exchange for the 2016 tax period took place voluntarily at the request of the respective companies. The country-specific reports contain, among other things, information on the worldwide distribution of income, the taxes paid and the Group's main business activities in various countries. The content is confidential and subject to the principle of speciality. As of the 2018 tax period, the submission of the reports is mandatory.

Further information can be found in the FTA's press release dated 18 June 2018.
