According to a communication from the Federal Tax Administration (FTA) dated 20 January 2020, more than half of taxable persons calculate value added tax (VAT) online.
According to data from the FTA, the proportion of online payers has risen from 36% to over 50% in the last year. As a result, more than 194,000 companies currently settle their VAT accounts electronically.
