The "Digital Transformation Maturity Model" comprises the most important building blocks of the future tax administration. This model is one of the first results following the publication of the vision "Tax Administration 3.0: The Digital Transformation of Tax Administration" in 2020.
Digital transformation refers in particular to fundamental changes in the way tax administrations work and how they respond to changes in taxpayers' business activities.
The model was developed by a group of members of the Forum on Tax Administration (FTA) and elaborated in detail in a pilot project with about 30 FTA and non-FTA members. The report also contains the results of this pilot project.
The report and further information on the topic are available here.
