The Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (FOCBS) has updated the QuickZoll app. Travelers can now pay duties on purchases made abroad at either of the applicable VAT rates (8.1% or 2.6%).
In the updated version of the QuickZoll app, you can now enter the value of the goods separately for each of the two VAT rates. The app automatically calculates the total VAT amount due.
Due to the necessary technical adjustments and the timeline for implementing the DaziT digitization program, the further development of QuickZoll has been scheduled for 2026.
QuickZoll can be used without prior registration and therefore offers a high degree of flexibility when crossing the border for travel purposes.
