The referendum against the Federal Act on Tax Reform and AHV Financing (STAF, formerly SV17) has been formally held. The STAF will therefore be put to the vote on 19 May 2019.
According to a media release of 6 February 2019, the referendum against the Federal Act of 28 September 2018 on Tax Reform and OASI Financing (STAF) (BBl 2018 6031) has been formally approved.
The Federal Council had already decided on 16 January 2019 that the bills would be put to the vote on 19 May 2019, but still under the proviso that the referendum against the bill would be successful (see our contribution of 19 January 2019).
The Federal Department of Finance (FDF) has outlined the procedure up to the entry into force of the STAF on the FDF website (the graphic representation as PDF is available here).
