On May 8, 2025, the FTA published the report on pillar 3a contributions and tax relief.
Employed persons paid a total of CHF 12.3 billion into pillar 3a in 2021. These payments led to a reduction in direct federal tax of around CHF 751.8 million.
The average deductible contribution amounted to CHF 6,681. 50.5% of employed taxpayers benefited from this deduction.
