The amendment protocol entered into force on February 9, 2026, following completion of the approval procedures in Switzerland and Italy.
The amendment protocol has been applicable since January 1, 2024, and permanently regulates the issue of taxation for cross-border commuters working from home: for home office work of up to 25%, the taxation rules or status of cross-border commuters remain unchanged.
