After the National Council had already adopted a motion concerning the waiver of the revision of the criminal tax law (see our contribution of 9 December 2017), the Council of States also adopted the motion in its session of 12 December 2017.

In accordance with the motion of the Committee for Economic Affairs and Taxation of the National Council; WAK-N (17.3706), the Federal Council should definitely waive the bill on the revision of the criminal tax law, which it submitted for consultation from 29 May 2013 to 30 September 2013 and postponed on 4 November 2015.

The Council of States (second chamber) accepted the motion in its meeting on 12 December 2017 and the motion will now go directly to the Federal Council.
