The Council of States adopts a motion to simplify value added tax on packages.

In its meeting of 12 June 2018, the Council of States adopted Stefan Engler's motion "Simplification of VAT for packages (18.3235)", which instructs the Federal Council to amend Art. 19 para. 2 VAT Act in such a way that packages (majority of services) can be taxed uniformly according to the predominant service, if this represents at least 55% of the total remuneration in terms of value.
