The Federal Department of Finance (FDF) has published a press release on the Tax Utilization Index 2019, which compares the tax burden in the cantons and municipalities.
According to the FDF's press release of 27 November 2018, the tax burden has fallen in just over half of the cantons compared with the last reference year, while there has been little change in the cantonal differences overall. This is the result of the 2019 Tax Utilisation Index calculated by the Federal Finance Administration (FFA), which indicates the extent to which taxpayers are burdened on average by taxes levied by the cantons and municipalities.
