After the Committee of States of the Council of States had given the administration mandates at its August meeting to deepen various issues, it has now started discussing the change of system for imputed rental value (see also our article of 25 August 2018) and, according to the media release of 15 November 2019, has voted in favour of it by 10 to 3 votes.
The WAK of the Council of States subsequently postponed the detailed consultation of the business and wants to ask the Federal Council for an opinion first, although such consultation of the Federal Council is unusual at this stage.
