Meret is currently an assistant and doctoral student at the Chair of Tax Law at the University of Basel. She graduated with a Master of Arts degree from the University of Basel in spring 2021, having previously completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law with Economics (Law and Economics) at the University of St. Gallen. During her studies, she already worked at the Chair of Tax Law at the University of Basel as a student assistant and was a university intern at the Federal Tax Administration (FTA) in the Tax Legislation Division for one year.
